06.04.2023Love how you got the inventory just jammed in there. All the bike shops I've been in have 1 or 2 sets of one style pedal, bar, or tire. Or an empty spot for the item.

04.04.2023What is the size of that Big Tire?
NightShadeFern
04.04.2023Might be possible to put a link in the chain to fit a slightly larger tire size in some cases (worked for my recent build). Why did the old school bmx race bikes run narrower tires on the back and wider ones on the front? It seems like the back would take more abuse and thats where the fatter tire might give a bit more cushion.
ALaVeyW
04.04.2023Actually you can put a tire on an old school bike with a tighter frame.
Because the fat tire is bigger you can go down one or to rim inches, and get the thinnest width of 1.75, and your new fat tire will totally fit.
And you can buy a fat tire fork for the front to fit a fat tire in the front.
I just did it with a electric bike with 26 in tires, I just swapped it for 20 in wheel and 20x 4.0 fat tires and now my bike has full suspension and all weather, with a more comfortable ride.

04.04.2023When I raced back in the day from 86 to 92 I ran a 20 ×1.75 in the rear and a 20 ×2.125 in the front. I was a big guy for my age and it handled better in the corners. Most of the pros were running the same. Man I miss racing…
